SOUTH FLORIDA’S Got Talent
A new group of young singers come together for the 8th Annual
Aventura Mall Young Stars Showcase, including one of Weston’s own.
South Florida singing sensations will come to Aventura for the 8th annual Aventura Mall
Young Stars Showcase presented by Mount Sinai Medical Center and AT&T. The show, which features performers aged 13-18 and benefits the Aventura Marketing Council/Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation, takes place November 12 at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. This year’s theme is “Young Stars Sing the Decades,” and each star will sing original scores written by Moises Herrera accompanied by the four-piece Mason Pace Band, led by
16-year-old Boca Raton resident Mason Pace, who has performed extensively across the country. Singers will perform melodies from the ‘30s, ‘40s, ‘50s, and straight through to the ‘90s.
This year’s group of young stars includes Angie Green, 13, who received the Golden Buzzer from Heidi Klum on the latest season of America’s Got Talent and was fast-tracked to the live shows, along with Weston’s own Sivan Ben-David; CJ Fam of Davie, Emily Kaufman of Cooper City, Cameron Wheeler of Pembroke Pines, Angie Green and Wesley Wray, both from Miami, Taylor Sawyer from Coral Springs, Cassie Ortiz of Wellington and Mason Pace. More than 300 people are expected to attend the performance. For more information, call the Aventura Marketing Council at 305-932-5334 or visit theyss.org.
