Viewing Party for NBC’s New Primetime TV Show Making It

Miami’s resident DIY blogger and craft genius Amber Kemp-Gerstel of Damask Love hosted a late night viewing party at Miami Ad School Auditorium in celebration of her coveted spot as one of 8 “makers” on NBC’s new primetime TV show Making It. On the show, contestants from across the country compete in a crafting competition, hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman. Guests at the viewing made crafts, indulged in desserts, and watched the premiere alongside Amber herself.

ChildNet Celebrates Luncheon

ChildNet’s Annual Care for Kids Luncheon took place at the Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina in Fort Lauderdale. The luncheon was an opportunity for the Broward County community to rally behind ChildNet—Broward’s Community Based Care lead agency that protects abused, abandoned, and neglected children in the community, and show support for children in foster care. The Champion for Children Award was presented to John Benz, President & CEO of Community Care Plan.
